NTPC CMD attends O&M Heads’ meet

NTPC CMD Gurdeep Singh graced as chief guest at the 2nd Heads of Operation and Management (O and M) meet organised at the NTPC Kaniha on May 4 and 5.

He stressed on sharing of knowledge, nurturing young talents to take the future challenges in safety and environment management.

Singh inaugurated a 400-TR AC system based on Flue Gas Waste Heat recovery system. The system is an indigenous new technology for air conditioning required in the power station. He also visited control room stage II and CW channel.

Director (Operations) Prakash Tiwari had inaugurated the meet on Friday. He insisted on developing the safety culture and adopting new technology.

Various O and M issues like safety, environment, system orientation and development and sustainability issues were discussed and action plan prepared. As many as 60 Heads of Operation and Management from various NTPC Power stations participated in the meet.

Among others, ED (OS) CV Anand, ED (ET) N Srinivasan, RED (ER II) M P Sinha and ED (Talcher Kaniha) Ram Kuber were present.
