Karnataka SSLC 10th results 2018: The results of SSLC Class 10 examination will be declared today, on May 7, 2018 by 12 pm. All those students who had appeared for the examinations can check the results on the official website, sslc.kar.nic.in and karresults.nic.in. The results will also be available at results.nic.in and examresults.net.

This year about 8.35 lakh students have appeared for the SSLC exams in the month of March across 2,817 examination centres in the state. The exams were held in two sessions, the forenoon session from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm and afternoon session from 2 pm to 5.15 pm. A total of 51 candidates were debarred from examinations for indulging in malpractices and 2.73 per cent students did not appear in the examinations, as per the state education board.

The Karnataka PUC results 2018 were announced on April 30. The board conducted the examinations on March 23, 2018, with First Language papers and ended the same with the Social Science paper on April 6. Last year, the results were announced on May 13, and the pass percent dipped by 4.82 compared to last year. The overall pass percentage for this year’s class 12 exams was at 52.38, while last year it was 57.20.

    KSEEB provided badges and identity cards to staff

    To further prevent any kind of malpractices during the exams, KSEEB provided badges and identity cards to all the staff including invigilators. Only the examination centre head was allowed to carry the mobile phones during the exams. Reports suggest, for the first time, the board has instructed all the exam centres to make special arrangements for the differently-abled candidates to write the exams on the ground floor.

    Security measures for SSLC exams 2018

    The exams were held 2,817 centres and to prevent malpractices during the exams, they all were equipped with CCTV cameras. A police personnel along with route officer were appointed for the vehicles that carried the question papers at district and taluk levels

    Karnataka SSLC supplementary exams 2018

    The supplementary exams are usually held in June and the results are by July. Last year, nearly 2.5 lakh candidates appeared for the supplementary examination from PUC. KSEEB will announce the dates once the results are declared.

    KSEEB results were declared and the overall pass percentage was at 59.56 which was slightly higher than previous years 52.38 per cent. Among districts, Dakshin Kannada has topped followed by Udipi. Around, 6,90,000 students had appeared for the PUC 2nd exam that was held between March 1 and 17.     KSEEB issued hall tickets online for SSLC exams 2018

    This year, for the first time, the Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board (KSEEB) has saved around 51 lakh pages for 8.54 lakh candidates, as per reports. They have done this by digitising the process of collating data. Moreover, they issued the hall ticket to Class 10 students online.

    Security measures for SSLC exams 2018

    The exam authorities have taken prohibitory orders in a 200-metre radius around the exam centres. Only those students were allowed to enter the zone who were carrying their hall tickets inside the premises. Flying squads were also deputed at the Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board, apart from the regular squads that keep eyes on students.

    Over 32000 students appeared from Mangalore and Mysore districts for SSLC 2018 exams

    In Mangalore, out of 32,786 students who appeared for the exams, 17,364 were boys and 15,422 were girls. There are 2,263 repeaters, 1,215 private students and 342 repeat private students. While from Mysore district, 35,765 students sat for their SSLC exams of which 10,506 students were from the city, with the remaining from rural areas. There are 52 centres in the city and 79 centres in Mysore rural.

    District wise, Udupi bagged the first place with 84.23 as overall pass percentage, followed by Dakshina Kannada and Chikkodi. Bidar falls at the bottom of the list after Bagalkot and Hassa

    KSEEB SSLC result last year toppers

    Three students scored 100 per cent marks in the SSLC exams last year. They were- Sumanth Hegde from Bengaluru, Poornanda H from Puttur and Pallavi Ravindra Shirahatti from Jamakhandi. In 2016, only one student secured full 625 marks.

    Karnataka SSLC last year pass percentage dipped

    The overall pass percentage was dipped to 7.24 per cent as 67.87 students passed the exam as against 75.11 last year. In 2017, the lowest pass percentage was recorded. Of the 8.56 lakh candidates who appeared for the exam, 5.81 lakh managed to clear it.

    In 2017, the Karnataka SSLC exams were held from March 30 this year with nearly 8.77 lakh students (4.69 lakh boys and 4.07 lakh girls) appeared. The II PUC exams were conducted from March 9 to March 27 in 2017 in 11 languages, 23 subjects and 50 combinations.

    Over 8 lakh students appeared for SSLC exams in Karnataka

    Around 8.5 lakh students, including 70,253 repeat candidates and 23,199 private candidates, are expected to sit for the SSLC examinations. As per the KSEEB rules, the visually impaired students and those with learning disabilities will be given an extra hour for all papers.
