Bhopal: Election tickets for winnability not proximity says Kamal Nath

Bhopal: We need winnable candidates and proximity to any leader, will not be a criterion for getting ticket in election, said state Congress president Kamal Nath, addressing a meeting of district Congress presidents here on Sunday. Kamal Nath said we need to understand the change in political scenario. Kamal Nath said, “We need to select candidate who has the backing of public and the party organisation. If we don’t, then it would be like betrayal of self and people.”

He said block committees can play a significant role in this work. We need to focus on our local organisation, village organisation and the problems at the block level.
