GITAM counselling to begin on May 16

Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management (GITAM) would conduct its admission through online sliding counselling for eligible candidates between May 16 and May 19. Rank holders who qualified in the GAT-2018 admission test may attend the online counselling with the call letter, which can be downloaded from the university’s website (www.gitam.edu). The counselling would be held at the following seven centres for admission to B.Tech., six year dual degree (B.Tech + M.Tech), B.Arch. and B.Pharm programmes for the academic year 2018-19.

The centres are at GITAM’s Hyderabad campus, Visakhapatnam campus and Bengaluru campus, and centres in Vijayawada, Tirupati, and Bengaluru city. Counselling starts at 9 a.m., beginning with SC, ST and PH candidates. From 10 a.m. onwards, 1 to 6,000 rank holders would be counselled. For 6,001 to 13,000 rank holders, the counselling on May 17, while for 13,001 to 20,000 rank holders, it would be on May 18. For 20,001 to 26,000 rank holders, counselling is on May 19.

Counselling and seat allotment would be based on the rank obtained by the candidate in the entrance exam. The process includes payment of counselling and tuition fee, choice filling and locking and document verification. Essential documents like Class X and Intermediate pass certificates, transfer certificate, medical certificate from civil surgeon (in case of PH Candidates) and integrated community certificate (in case of SC/ST) are also required.
