WWE Backlash LIVE RESULTS: Roman Reigns in action, Jeff Hardy beats Randy Orton
BACKLASH promises plenty of action in a night that could change the WWE landscape.
Samoa Joe is determined to take Roman Reigns out and establish himself as the top star in sports entertainment.
AJ Styles defends the WWE Championship in a No Disqualification Match against Shinsuke Nakamura, in a bout that favours the challenger.
RAW need Seth Rollins to retain the Intercontinental Championship against The Miz or the prestigious title is going back to Smackdown.
Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss will be looking to regain the Smackdown and RAW Women's Championship respectively.
Charlotte was dethroned by Carmella and Bliss lost the belt to Nia Jax.

Ruby Riott def. Bayley (Backlash Kickoff Match)
Ruby Riott bested Bayley in the Kickoff Show with the Riott Kick.
Sasha Banks didn't come out to back her friend at ringside but The Riott Squad showed up to support their leader.
Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan posed a threat for Bayley and Logan suffered a Hurracanrana.
But Riott took advantage of the distraction and hit her finisher for the win.
Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins def. The Miz
Seth Rollins beat The Miz in an incredible match.
The challenger failed to reform The Miztourage during the Kickoff Show as Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel refused to help him.
The A-Lister, however, came close to dethroning Rollins with a Figure-Four Leglock and a whopping two Scull Crushing Finales.
But The Kingslayer fought back and retained the belt with a Curb Stomp.
That means the Intercontinental Championship stays on RAW.

Raw Women’s Champion Nia Jax def. Alexa Bliss
Nia Jax successfully defended the RAW Women's Championship against her former best friend in an emotionally charged match.
Bliss accused Jax of being a bully even though the challenger was the one recorded saying horrible things about the champion.
The Goddess came very close to dethroning the champ with a vicious DDT on the steel steps.
However, The Irresistible Force caught the ex-champion when she tried to deliver Twisted Bliss.
Jax then hit the Samoan Drop for the win.
United States Champion Jeff Hardy def. Randy Orton
Jeff Hardy overcame Randy Orton in a match that could have gone either way.
Hardy took out The Viper with a Twist of Fate and a Swanton Bomb for the three count.
Orton hit a vicious DDT from the middle rope but couldn't connect with an RKO.
The feud doesn't look to be over yet.
Daniel Bryan def. Big Cass
Daniel Bryan made a triumphant return to singles competition in a WWE Pay-Per-View show.
The four-time world champion overcame the 7ft star Big Cass with the YES Lock.
The ex-NXT star managed to overpower The Leader of the YES Movement but quickly tapped out once his opponent trapped him in the submission move.
After the match Cass attacked Bryan and took him out with a Big Boot.

SmackDown Women’s Champion Carmella def. Charlotte Flair
Carmella shocked the WWE Universe when she successfully cashed in her Money in the Bank briefcase on Charlotte Flair on the first episode of Smackdown after WrestleMania 34.
The Princess of Staten Island repeated the feat at Backlash when she successfully defended the Smackdown Women's Championship against The Queen.
Charlotte tried to perform a Moonsault but landed badly on her ankle.
That allowed the champion to kick her opponent's hamstrings and pick up the win with a roll-up.
WWE Champion AJ Styles vs. Shinsuke Nakamura (No Disqualification Match) ends in a draw
AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura failed to answer the referee's 10 count and so their WWE title match ended in a draw.
As a result, Styles retained the title in an intense and brutal battle that saw the champion suffering a bloody wound on the left side of his face following a chair shot.
The two stars kicked each other in the groin at the same time and failed to get up after the blow.
The feud doesn't seem to be over.
Braun Strowman & Bobby Lashley def. Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn
Braun Strowman and Bobby Lashley destroyed Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn at Backlash.
Strowman and Lashley's work became easier when Owens and Zayn failed to work together.
Because of Zayn, KO suffered a devastating Suplex from Lashley and got pinned.
He was then hit with a vicious Running Powerslam.
The Monster Among Men then took The Underdog from the Underground out with another Running Powerslam.
