No yatra: Phulbani Bandh held

The people of Phulbani on Sunday held a bandh protesting the Kandhamal district administration’s decision to stop a 48-year-old yatra.

They said the administration was unnecessarily interfering in the religious matter which is creating ill feeling among the people.

The yatra committee slammed the ban order of the administration on mina bazar ,light, sound and decoration etc.

The yatra committee said even if there is an order from Orissa High Court to allow the celebration of the yatra, but administration is flouting it.
