Sir Alex Ferguson latest: Health update as Man Utd hero's family prepare to make statement
SIR ALEX FERGUSON's family are likely to make an update on his condition today following emergency surgery last night for a brain haemorrhage.

The 76-year-old, who led Manchester United to 38 trophies in his 26 years in charge, was rushed to hospital after suffering a fall at home.
An ambulance was called to his house in Cheshire to take him to Macclesfield District General.
He was then taken under a police escort to be treated at the Salford Royal.
It's understood an update from Fergie's family or the hospital will come today.
A Manchester United statement said: "Sir Alex has undergone emergency surgery today for a brain haemorrhage. The procedure has gone very well but he needs a period of intensive care to optimise his recovery.

"His family request privacy in this matter."
His son Darren Ferguson missed Doncaster Rovers' final league game to be by his father's bedside.
A Doncaster statement said: "Darren Ferguson will not be at Saturday's game due to family reasons. Darren asks for privacy, and will provide an update through the club during the week."
Ferguson retired as United boss in May 2013 and was on the pitch at Old Trafford last Sunday.
There he presented Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger with a farewell trophy alongside Jose Mourinho.
Fans and clubs last night took to Twitter last night to pay tribute to the United legend.
United winger Jesse Lingard wrote: "Thoughts and prayers, Sir Alex."
Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany said: "Hang on in there Sir Alex. Thoughts are with the family and close ones."
While Michael Carrick tweeted: "Absolutely devastated to hear about Sir Alex being unwell in hospital. All my thoughts and prayers are with him and his family. Be strong boss."

Former No.2 Mike Phelan tweeted: "You've won more than most and if anyone can you can boss."
Ferguson was admitted to hospital in 2003 for a heart irregularity and underwent electric shock treatment.
A club statement at the time said that he had 'received treatment in hospital following a routine check-up several months ago which revealed a minor heart irregularity'.
Ferguson revealed after that he had had a pacemaker fitted.
Edwin van der Sar won the Champions League with Ferguson in 2008 and was granted compassionate leave by Ferguson after his wife suffered a brain haemorrhage.
He said: "Devastated about the news about Sir Alex, knowing all too well about the situation ourselves."
