Mumbai Indians are going to play against two-time champion Kolkata Knight Riders in their home ground(Wankhede Stadium), today on 6 May 2018. The match is going to be tougher for Mumbai Indians, as they are at the No 5th Position in IPL Points 2018 Points Table. Mumbai have won three out of their nine games, and now they can’t afford a single defeat against any team. One defeat and they will be out of the tournament. While on the other hand, Dinesh Karthik led Kolkata Knight Riders are looking to strengthen their place for the playoffs, by getting victory over Mumbai Indians. KKR have won five out of nine games and they are third on the points table.
Mumbai Indians:
Skipper Rohit Sharma is struggling with his form, in the last game, Rohit played some magnificent shots, which can be helpful for Mumbai Indians. The opening pair of Lewis and Suryakumar Yadav is doing well, and once again the opening batting attack will be held on their shoulder. Suryakumar is the top-5 highest scorer in VIVO IPL 2018, and he is contributing in every match. The middle order is considerable for Mumbai Indians, Pollard is out of form, and Cutting has not gotten more opportunities in this IPL. So, Pandya Brothers will manage the Mumbai’s Middle-order-Batting.
Pacer Jasprit Bumrah and Mayank Markande doing extremely well and Mitchell McClenaghan could be seen as a third pacer with Mustafizur Rehman, who has been rested in the last game. If Mitchell plays, Ben cutting will be dropped.
Mumbai Indians Probable XI: Suryakumar Yadav, Evin Lewis, Ishan Kishan (wk), Rohit Sharma (c), Hardik Pandya, Krunal Pandya, JP Duminy, Ben Cutting/Mustafizur Rahman, Mitchell McClenaghan, Mayank Markande, Jasprit Bumrah.
