COREY WHITE'S ROADMAP TO PARADISE
★★★★
9.40pm, ABC
If Michael Moore was a comedian, his documentaries might look something like this. Self-confessed former ice addict, foster child and three-time uni dropout, Corey White combines an acerbic wit with a ferocious social conscience, slamming us with solid facts to wake us up to a world that's far from right. In this second episode he takes on capitalism with a vengeance, offering solutions along with bleak prophecy.
THIS IS US
★★★★
9.30pm, Ten
Just when it seemed the Pearson family has endured enough, they all have to relive the tragedy that changed them forever. As always, this is a tightly scripted and expertly executed study in grief, and how time passed does anything but heal certain wounds. Chrissy Metz beautifully portrays an insecure daughter's complex feelings for her devoted father. And there's a nice twist in Randall's fostering storyline.
BACK WITH THE EX
★★
9.45pm Seven
These former couples seem genuinely committed to the resurrection of their relationships and not just to their Instagram incomes. When the sexes separate for their group nights out, grievances are given the airing they desperately need, especially those of Lauren, whose bodybuilding beau, Erik, is displaying worrying issues surrounding control – of both her and himself. Hopefully this insight also gets people with similar concerns talking.
