DHANGADHI: Five members of a family in Thalara Rural Municipality-4 of Bajhang district drowned in a local rivulet on Saturday night.
The deceased have been identified as 27 year old Harka BK, his wife Dalli BK (26), their daughter Manisha BK (12), son Sakhxyam BK (3) and his aunt Kalasi BK (35), police said.
The incident occurred when the BK family was crossing the rivulet on their way back to Thalara from Seku in the district. Following the incident, the village has gone into mourning.
Incessant rain on Saturday rose the rivulet leading to their deaths, police said.
