KANPUR: A new train Humsafar express will start running between
Anand Vihar and Allahabad from May 10. It is hoped that the new train will reduce passenger load between Kanpur and Delhi to some extent.
The train, to start ferrying passengers from Anand Vihar from May 10, will make the return journey from Allahabad from May 12. It will run thrice a week from both the end with a stoppage at
Kanpur Central station.
According to railway officials, the train consists of
LHB (Linke Hofmann Busch) coaches, and a
GPS based passenger information system has also been provided in it.
