The game against KKR is a must-win clash for the defending champions Mumbai Indians, as they are precociously placed fifth in the IPL 2018 points table with just three wins and six defeats in nine matches so far, with six points in their kitty. (MI v KKR live scorecard)

On the other hand, KKR have done comparatively better than Mumbai Indians in their nine matches so far, with five wins and four defeats giving them 10 points and third spot in the points table.

Mumbai Indians have shown form with two wins in their last three matches, whereas KKR too are in rhythm with two comfortable six-wicket wins, one each over the second-placed Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).

All eyes will be on the young KKR batsman Shubman Gill who is coming off a fine 57 not out against CSK in their previous match, whereas Mumbai will hope that their best batsman this season, Suryakumar Yadav, continues his fine run on his home ground Wankhede against his former franchise.

There are two changes in the KKR team, as an injured Shivam Mavi has been replaced by Prasidh Krishna whereas Nitish Rana -- former Mumbai Indians batsman -- comes in for Rinku Singh.

Teams:

Mumbai Indians - Suryakumar Yadav, Evin Lewis, Ishan Kishan (wk), Rohit Sharma (c), JP Duminy, Hardik Pandya, Krunal Pandya, Ben Cutting, Mitchell McClenaghan, Mayank Markande, Jasprit Bumrah.

Kolkata Knight Riders - Chris Lynn, Sunil Narine, Robin Uthappa, Shubman Gill, Nitish Rana, Dinesh Karthik (c&wk), Andre Russell, Piyush Chawla, Mitchell Johnson, Prasidh Krishna, Kuldeep Yadav.
