Prime Minister's National Relief Fund(PMNRF) and National Defence Fund(NDF)

All donations towards the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund(PMNRF) and the National Defence Fund(NDF) are notified for 100% deduction from taxable income under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act,1961

The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) has named Shahnawaz Alam as its candidate for the Jokihat Assembly by- election. He is son of former Araria MP Taslimuddin.

Polling on this seat will be held on 28th of this month. Candidates can file their nomination till May 10. Countings of votes will be held on May 31.

The By-poll was necessitated by resignation of Shahnawaz's elder brother Sarfaraz Alam who was representing Jokihat Assembly seat. He had resigned after winning the Araria Lok Sabha byelection recently.
