Poor drainage causes trouble in Dehiwala-Mount Lavinia

COLOM BO (News 1st) – Residents of the Dehiwala-Mount Lavinia Municipality say they are facing numerous hardships due to the poor maintenance of drainage systems in the area.
Several drainage systems in the Dehiwala-Mount Lavinia municipality, carry waste to the sea via the Mount Lavinia beach. However, due to blockages and poor maintenance, wastewater and garbage have stagnated in these roadside drains.
Our reporter noted that this situation persists on roads including College Avenue, De Saram Road, Hotel Road and Cross Road.
