Uttar Pradesh government has decided to suspend collection of all revenue and power recoveries from farmers in the all dust storm and heavy rain affected districts. It has claimed 76 lives and left 92 injured in the state.
AIR Lucknow correspondent reports that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, after visiting highly affected districts of Agra and Kanpur, announced the suspension of dues collection. He has also directed officials to provide Houses to the victims under Pradhan Mantri and Mukhya Mantri Awas Yojana in the affected districts. He said marriage of girls from affected areas should be solemnised under Mukhya Mantri Samuhik Vivah Yojana.Mr Yogi also asked state Power department officials to restore power supply to the villages by tomorrow.
Directions have also been issued for drinking water supply through tankers in the affected villages. Chief Minister has directed the officials to provide proper medical facilities and treatment to injured in the calamity. Leaves of the Officers and employees of revenue and power departments have been cancelled in the dust storm and heavy rain affected districts.
In view of the warning issued by Met department, alert has been issued in 32 districts of eastern, western and Terai regions of the State. The state government has asked the officials for taking precautions as per alert to save the people and property.
