Jack Perkins (8-2) gave up two runs on six hits and struck out eight in a complete game victory as host Stetson (37-11, 11-3 ASUN) won 8-2 over Jacksonville (31-16, 8-6) in baseball on Saturday.

The Hatters' Mike Spooner was 2-for-3 with three RBIs and three runs scored, while Jorge Arenas had two RBIs.

Stetson has won seven straight and goes for the sweep at 11 a.m. Sunday.

Miami 8, B-CU 7

Dylan Cloonan's walk-off single gave host Miami (20-25) a win over Bethune-Cookman (18-30). Danny Rodriguez had three RBIs for the Wildcats.

ERAU splits

Host Embry-Riddle (19-28, 8-19 SSC) split with Rollins (18-28, 6-21). The Eagles' Kyle Marsh was 4-for-5 with two home runs, six RBIs and two runs scored in a 12-7 win. ERAU's Luis Olivier had three RBIs in a 13-3 loss.

Gators win 2

Jackson Kowar (8-2) gave up one run on one hit and struck out eight in six innings as No. 1 Florida (38-10, 18-5 SEC) won 6-1 at No. 18 Texas A&M (33-14, 11-12) on Saturday. Jonathan India had two RBIs for the Gators. Late Friday, Brady Singer (10-1) gave up six hits and struck out five over nine shutout innings as Florida won 9-0 at Texas A&M. The Gators' JJ Schwarz had four RBIs and four hits.

SOFTBALL

Stetson clinches ASUN tourney berth

Jaime Tino (9-7) gave up four hits in 6.2 shutout innings as host Stetson (26-23, 4-13 ASUN) won 4-3 over Jacksonville (26-27, 7-10) on Saturday. Molly McLaughlin had a two-run double for the Hatters. Stetson will be the No. 6 seed and will host No. 3 seed USC Upstate at 3 p.m. Wednesday.

4 Wildcats win individual titles

Bethune-Cookman’s Asia Joe, Dominic Harper, Jonathan Moore and Lea Tshikaya won individual championships, but team championships eluded the Wildcats on the final day of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships in Greensboro, North Carolina. North Carolina A&T (153) edged B-CU (150) for the men's title. The Lady Wildcats (120.5) were third behind Florida A&M (179.5) and N.C. A&T (179). B-CU’s Jeremiah Peters was named Outstanding Field Performer after winning the shot put and finishing third in both the discus and hammer throw. Harper made it a three-peat in the pole vault, clearing 15’1 ¾. Moore (1:49.30) repeated as 800-meter champion. Joe (53.325) won the 400-meters. Tshikaya (58.83) won the 400 hurdles.
