Two drivers injured in crash, police vehicle suffers major damage

Police have appealed for witnesses to come forward after a crash involving a marked police vehicle and a yellow Hyundai Getz that left both drivers needing ongoing medical treatment.

Both vehicles suffered major damage in the crash, which happened at the intersection of Baldwin Drive and Maribyrnong Avenue in Kaleen, about 8pm on Friday.

The Australian Federal Police professional standards and collision investigation reconstruction teams attended the scene, and are investigating the crash.
