Defending champions Nepal APF Club and Nepal Police Club advanced to the semi-finals of the fourth KNP Japan National Women’s Volleyball Tournament here at the NSC covered hall today.

APF finished as Group A winners beating Western Regional Volleyball Association in straight sets, while NPC were Group B winners with a 3-1 victory over Tribhuvan Army Club.

APF saw off Western Region 25-16, 25-8, 25-12 to win their second match of the group. Similarly, NPC came from a set down to beat TAC 23-25, 25-20, 25-16, 25-19.

On Sunday, TAC will take on Shivam New Diamond Academy, while Western Region will play against Jawalakhel Volleyball Training Centre. The results of the matches will decide other two  semi-finalists.

Top three finishers will receive Rs 150,000, Rs 100,000 and Rs 50,000 respectively, while the player of the series will earn Rs 10,000. The foundation will also award a
player with Sher Bahadur Khadka Special Award worth Rs 10,000.
