James has led the Cleveland Cavaliers to a 2-0 lead over the Raptors.
The small forward has been in inspired form in both showdowns so far.
He is the leading player in NBA postseason scoring with 34.4 points per game, and has two triple doubles already.
But his feet are firmly on the ground ahead of Game 3 tonight.
He insists he is not looking beyond the Raptors and thinking about finishing the series quickly.
"There's no fast tracking the process where you say, 'OK, let's try to end this thing so we can get some rest.' You do that and you get a lot of rest," James said.
"You do that and you can be home and end up losing 4-2.
"You don't cheat the game gods. I've never been a part of that.
"The main thing is to win each game and to win the next game.”

The Cavs, though, are expected to reach the Eastern final where they look likely to face the Boston Celtics who lead the 76ers 2-0.
Raptors coach Dwane Casey said: "We're 0-2, we understand that.
"It's hope, it's pride, it's toughness. ... If you want to use the word hope -- if we're hoping we win, we shouldn't be in the NBA."
