Prime Minister's National Relief Fund(PMNRF) and National Defence Fund(NDF)

All donations towards the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund(PMNRF) and the National Defence Fund(NDF) are notified for 100% deduction from taxable income under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act,1961

Assam government will provide over 1 lakh shallow tubewells to farmers to double their income. Talking to AIR, state Agriculture Director M S Manivannan said that steps are being taken to give shallow tubewells to small and marginal farmers.

He said that 11 thousand solar pumpsets, 30 thousand electrical pumpsets and 60 thousand diesel sets will be given to the farmers. Mr. Manivannan further said that it would help to irrigate 2 lakh hectare of land.

He also said that NGOs are being engaged to assist the department to implement the scheme.
