A stag party caused all sorts of chaos in The Plaza shopping centre, Palmerston North, on Saturday.
A security guard was punched and hit with a dildo as chaos descended on a Palmerston North shopping centre thanks to an out-of-control stag do.
Police received a call for help just before 3.30pm on Saturday when a security guard was "poked" and hit with the dildo, and punched in the face by one of the men, a police spokeswoman said.
The guard was trying to escort the group of about six men away from The Plaza shopping centre in the central city, when they became unruly.
At least one of the men was wearing a unicorn onesie, the spokeswoman said.
Earlier in the afternoon, organisers at the nearby Harvest Festival in The Square assigned a staff member to keep an eye on men celebrating a stag party who were disrupting cars at a nearby traffic island.
One of the men had been wearing nappies and was being given a hard time by his mates. But they had moved on after a bit of a laugh, an organiser said.
On Sunday, police officers were continuing to make inquiries to find the group from The Plaza to talk to them about the incident, the police spokeswoman said.
