‘Vedic Mantras meant for world’s welfare’

A three-day man-making camp was inaugurated in the premises of the Buddha Mandir here on Friday on behalf of the Arya Samaj.

Noted Vedic Acharya Pandit Somadev Shastry inaugurating the camp said every Mantra of the Veda is meant for welfare of the world. “All Vedic Mantras portray for making good humans. As we have failed to make these Mantras reach our children, crimes, corruptions and all illegalities are happening in the society,” said the Acharya.

Gracing the inaugural meeting held under chairmanship of Arya Samaj, Odisha president Arya Kumar Jnanendra, Kalahandi Ramakrushna Ashram founder Swami Bairagyananda Maharaj said the Arya Samaj, formed by Maharshi Dayananda Saraswati in 1875, has been turned into a movement of reforms. Inspired by the movement, hundreds of youths participated in the freedom movement.

Former Utkal University of Culture Vice-Principal Dr Bimalendu Mohanty said the Arya Samaj is the institution that had predicted 143 years ago that a society’s development depends on development women.
