ED to furnish fresh evidence against Mallya

The Enforcement Directorate will submit additional evidence of alleged money laundering against businessman Vijay Mallya through an affidavit for inclusion in the ongoing extradition proceedings against him before a special court in the United Kingdom.

The agency is learnt to have gathered extra evidence while examining some more witnesses, confirming certain transactions that are under scrutiny.

As part of the set legal procedure, the ED will have to make its submission in the form of an affidavit that will be first produced before an Indian court for an approval. Subsequently, as per the court directions, the documents will be shared with the prosecution division in the United Kingdom.
