Spreading happiness

Sir — As we celebrate the National Cartoonists Day on May 5, we must congratulate our cartoonists for publishing wonderful cartoons which conquers the hearts of a common man. As I sip my morning cup of coffee everyday, the first thing I do is to check the cartoons.

A daily dose of cartoons provide the much-needed comic relief to everyone, as in the morning we are all in a hurry and tensed up to meet the challenges the day is likely to throw at us.

It just takes a few seconds to glance at a random cartoon sketch which provides relief to a worked up soul and also puts a smile on his/her face, irrespective of the age group. Like it is said, “If a picture is worth thousand words then a cartoon is worth a thousand pictures.”
