COLOMBO (News 1^st) – While internal struggles seem to be rising to the top once again within the UNP, the party is preparing to mark May Day tomorrow.

The party will celebrate May Day at the Sugathadasa Indoor stadium tomorrow (May 6th).

Joint opposition MP Rohitha Abeygunawardene joked about the UNP by stating that the once powerful UNP has been forced to celebrate May day, a day dedicated to the working class, from inside the Sugathadasa Indoor stadium. The stadium according to the MP has a capacity of only 5,400 seats.
