Meral block declared ODF

Under Swachh Bharat Mission, Meral Block was declared open defecation free (ODF) in a function on the block premises here on Friday. Garhwa DDC Chandra Mohan Kashyap, SDO Pradeep Kumar, BDO Rahul Kumar, Officer-in-Charge, Rakesh Sahai, 20-Point Block President Pramod Choubey along with others inaugurated the function by lightening lamp and garlanding the portrait of Mahatma Gandhi.

On this occasion DDC announced that after completion of 17,722 toilets in 20 Panchayats under Meral block 100 per cent toilets were completed today. He said that the goal was difficult. But due to the dedication and hard work of the Block workers, representatives and Jalhshiya, the goal could be completed. He again said that some people have been complaining of the shortcomings of toilets, which will be rectified.

Talking about the Prime Minister's Housing Scheme, he said that the Meral block is in the worst condition in the district.  SDO Pradeep Kumar said that the divisional officials of the block, the Chief of the staff, Jalshhia, etc. are rewarded for the integrated efforts of the people that today declares the block as the ODF.

On this occasion, MP representative Harendra Kumar Dwivedi, MLA representative Kundan Chandwanshi, Zila Parishad member Naresh Chaudhary, Chairman of Mukhiya Sangh, Sriran Choudhury, Executive Engineer of Drinking Water and Sanitation Department  Radhey Shyam Ravi, State Coordinator Rashmi and others were addressed the function.
