‘INLD-BSP Govt to implement Swaminathan Commission report’

Leader of Opposition in Haryana Assembly and INLD’s senior leader Abhay Singh Chautala on Friday said that as soon as the INLD-BSP alliance is voted to power in the state, it will implement the recommendations of Swaminathan Commission report.

He announced this before courting arrest alongwith other INLD-BSP leaders in Yamunanagar during the ‘Jail Bharo Andolan’ to demand construction of SYL canal.

Accusing the BJP led State Government of betraying the farmers, the INLD leader said that the Dadupur Nalvi canal scheme was scrapped because the Government did not want to pay the enhanced compensation to the farmers.

Those who were taken into custody were Abhay Singh Chautala, INLD Haryana president Ashok Arora, former MLA Rampal Majra, MLAs Balwan Singh Daulatpuria and Anup Dhanak among other leaders along with hundreds of workers.
