A man working on the roof of a house was electrocuted after a metal pole he was working on touched some power lines, Ormond Beach police said.
The victim was identified as William Spear, 58, of Mount Dora.
Paramedics responded shortly before 8:40 a.m. to 127 Windward Circle and rushed the patient to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead, authorities said. The home is located near Oceanside Country Club.
Spear was inspecting the roof and was attaching a camera to the metal pole when he was electrocuted, police said.
