All India Naval Sail training camp conducted in Goa

PANAJI: All India naval NCC sail training camp was conducted at INWTC, Goa where 51 cadets from all over the country ranging from J&K to Kerala participated.

There were five cadets from Goa, NCC. This is the second time in history of naval NCC training that the cadets were given hands on experience of steering a boat independently at sea.

The cadets were trained in sailing dinghy boats and windsurfing.

Commodore Gopal Sharma gave away the prices to the meritorious cadets. Commander Sherpal Singh, the Officer-in-Charge , INWTC, Goa informed that Goa Naval Area wishes to train young boys and girls in windsurfing so that some of them could reach the international level and participate in international games.

Singh further added that one of his trainee Rahul Chaudhary has been selected for Asian championship.
