HOPEWELL TWP. — Homegrown produce from area farms will be showcased Tuesdays at a farmers market at Hopewell Community Park off Laird Avenue.

The community-driven market will run from 4 to 7 p.m. June 5 to Sept. 25 and will feature vendors who are required to “make it, bake it, raise it or grow it,” according to the township, which is seeking products such as fresh fruits and vegetables; eggs; cut flowers; jams and jellies; honey; cider; salsa; baked goods; chocolates; prepared foods; craft items; candles; soaps and lotions.

During June and July, the farmers market precedes the township’s Concert in the Park series that begins at 7 p.m. Vendors are welcome to continue to sell products during the concerts.

Vendor applications — both seasonal and daily — are being accepted at the township office.

A full-season, 10-by-10 space costs $120; daily pass for a 10-by-10 space is $10; daily pass for a 5-by-5 spot in a community tent is $5. Food truck spaces will be available for $10. Vendors must provide their own table and chairs.

Daily vendors can call the township at 724-378-1460, Ext. 100 at 8:30 a.m. the Thursday before a market day to request space. Spaces will be assigned first come, first served. Spaces will not be available to purchase after 10 a.m. Tuesdays.
