Martirosyan replaced Canelo Alvarez after his drug ban and takes on GGG in the big match up tonight.
Canelo tested positive for a banned substance, clenbuterol, in two tests administered by the Voluntary Anti-Doping Agency in February and was subsequently suspended by the Nevada State Athletic Commission.
The Mexican had to withdraw from the fight but GGG scrambled to find an opponent for this date.
Golovkin was hugely critical of Canelo and branded him a terrible man.
“He is nothing, forget him,” the 36-year-old said.
“Canelo, of course like everybody said, he’s huge Mexican star.
“Last press conference he said ‘I can’t, I’m sorry, I apologise, it’s my fault.’
“This is crazy, you know, this is crazy for people.
“He’s not sorry, no. He’s not a huge ambassador for boxing. He’s terrible man!”
