Man held with cash, arms in Kasmar area

Making a breakthrough in just 30 minutes after a robbery at Bharat Financial Company staffs at Podda village area on Thursday evening, Kasmar police arrested one accused from the spot following a tip-off.

The accused has been identified as Anwar Ansari son of Alahudin Ansari of Nawadih village under Visungrah police station. Police claimed to have recovered a country-made pistol, one cartridge and one motorcycle from his possession, said circle officer Rajesh Kujur of Jaridih.  

According to Circle officer after the incident the, one his accomplice fled from the spot.

Police sources said that the incident took place at around 4 pm on Thursday when two financial company staffs were returning their office after getting collection from the party .

Suddenly two bike –borne armed criminals came into motorcycle and intercepted them near Podda village.

The miscreants first threatened them and later attacked them with sharp weapons and looted cash and other valuables from them late on Thursday afternoon.

But collection money Rs 2 lakh could have saved during the loot. While their motorcycle and mobile have been looted by one other criminal from the financial manager and fled from the spot .
