Indore: As many as six Government colleges of the city have been identified by the Department of Higher Education (DHE) for grant of Rs 2 crore each under Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA). But the department gave only a day for the colleges to prepare and subsequently submit proposal for the grant.
“All the colleges identified for RUSA grant should positively submit proposal at headquarters on Friday,” said a letter issued by OSD (higher education) Abhay Pandey. The colleges, which has been identified, are Holkar Science College, New Science College, Law College, New GDC, Behurlal Patidar College and Atal Behari Vajpayee Government Arts and Commerce College also known as GACC.
A total of 34 government colleges from across the state have been selected for the grant. Of those highest number of colleges is from Indore followed by five from Bhopal.
