Traders of
Sector 18 market were left disappointed as they could not discuss the new
parking rates of the market at a meeting with
Noida Authority officials on Thursday.
The meeting was organised so that traders could bring up civic issues, such as cleaning of the market, resurfacing of low lying areas to prevent waterlogging during monsoon, before the officials.
“We had a meeting at Sector 18 with Noida Authority officials where apart from civic issues we also wanted to discuss the unreasonable
parking rates in the market. However, the moment we raised the matter, project engineer, work circle-2, S C Mishra claimed it cannot be discussed as it has to be taken up at the higher level. Some of the members got annoyed and left the meeting. As a result other issues could not be discussed,” said S K Jain, president of Sector 18 market association.
