Chennai Super Kings will look to steal their top position back from Sunrisers Hyderabad when they face a resurgent Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League clash on Saturday.
A clash between the former and current Indian cricket captains Virat Kohli and Mahendra Singh Dhoni, RCB will hope to take revenge of the last derby defeat when they went down by five wickets against the yellow brigade at their own home.
Meanwhile, Dhoni’s side too will be hoping to get back to winning ways after going down in two out of last three games and losing their top spot to SRH. On other other hand, it is a must-win for RCB who hope to stay alive in the tournament and qualify for the play-offs. They currently occupy the fifth spot while CSK sit comfortably in the second position after winning six of the nine matches played so far in the season.
Adopting well to their new home, CSK have lost only one match (against Mumbai Indians) in Pune since shifting base. But the defeat was followed by another hammering by Kolkata Knight Riders on Thursday, dragging them down to the second spot.
Ambati Rayudu continues to stand at the top of the Orange Cap table with a total of 391 runs. He, along with Australian Shane Watson, West Indian Dwayne Bravo, skipper Dhoni and Suresh Raina lead CSK at the batting front. Even Chennai bowlers have been so far impressive in the tournament with Shardul Thakur at th etop.
Meanwhile, RCB will rely on Kohli, AB de Villiers, Quinton de Kock and Brendon McCullum at the batting front.
