PM’s visit: Parking restriction tomorrow

There will be restriction on the parking of vehicles in identified places in the city on May 5 from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. in view of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit.

Police Commissioner Vipul Kumar issued a notification on the same on Thursday.

Accordingly, unnecessary parking of vehicles within a 500m radius of Nehru Maidan, where Mr. Modi will address an election rally at about 5.30 p.m., has been banned.

It also applied to parking of vehicles in the premises of Circuit House at Kadri. The parking of vehicles on the road from Kenjar to the maidan via Maravoor, Marakada, Kavoor, Bondel, Padavinangady, Yeyyadi, Karnataka Polytechnic, Batta Gudde, Kadri Kambala, Bunts Hostel, Ambedkar Circle, Balmatta, Hampankatta, A.B. Shetty Circle has been banned.

The notification would be in force till 9 p.m. on Saturday for security purpose.
