Indore: Police arrest 2 men for making obscene calls


Indore: A team of ‘We Care For You’ cell of police on Thursday arrested two accused in different cases for harassing women on phone. In the first case, a friend of victim’s husband teased and harassed her on phone and forced her for friendship. The victim, resident of Tukoganj police station area, lodged a complaint with We Care For You that a man known to her has been harassing her and even stalked her.

“The accused is the friend of victim’s husband and he has photographs of her on due to which he is blackmailing her for friendship. The accused threatened the victim that he would show photographs to her husband if she did not concede,” police said.

On the basis of complaint and numbers given by the victim, police arrested a 32-year-old man Pawan Lodwal, resident of Pancham Ki Phel. The accused told police that he knows the victim and was asking her to become his friend only. Police sent accused to Tukoganj police station for further action.


Similarly, a school teacher, resident of Annapurna police station area has complained that man made obscene phone calls. “He calls me multiple times and talks obscene. When I protested, he threatened me and forced me to talk to him,” victim told police. On her complaint, police arrested 24-year-old Dharmendra  Rajput, a native of Harda, who has been working in city for last 10 years. He has been handed over to Annapurna police station.
