PATNA: The
Patna police on Friday arrested three accused from Ishopur under
Phulwarisharif police station area in the city for their alleged involvement in the murder case of trader
Nikhil Raj alias
Bunti Sah (30) during loot.
Sah was shot dead inside his general store located at
Raghunath Tola under Gardanibagh police station area late in the night on Thursday during a loot. His father Dinanath Sah (50) had also received gunshot injury in leg during the loot.

Manu Maharaaj said that the arrested criminals were identified as Nishant Kumar alias Nishu, Mohammad Hasif alias Sunny and Mohammad Tarique, all in age group of early 20s.
The SSP said that according to the deceased’s father, altogether Rs 2.5 lakh were looted from the shop and the criminals had open fired when Nikhil resisted the loot.
He said that an FIR was lodged on basis of the statement given the deceased’s father.
“Out of the looted amount, Rs 50,000 was recovered from Nishant along with two country made pistols and two live cartridges,” he said.
The SSP said that Nikhil was shot at least four times during the loot. He said altogether seven criminals were involved in the loot and murder and their identities have been ascertained.
“The kingpin of the loot and murder is a notorious criminal Ravi Gutpa who had been to jail on several occasions in the past and had come out on bail almost five months back. He is involved in at least three loot cases in Patna and was evading arrest,” he said.
He said that Nikhil had also been to jail thrice in loot and murder cases and had come out of bail almost one and half months back. The SSP said footages of CCTV cameras installed inside the shop helped police to ascertain identity of the suspects involved in the crime quickly.
