Avengers Infinity War: Do Avengers 4 filming photos PROVE Loki twist with Tom Hiddleston?
AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR has raised even more questions than anyone expected - but have some been answered by filming photos for its sequel?
WARNING: Major spoilers for Avengers: Infinity War ahead.
One of the many deaths in Infinity War was Tom Hiddleston’s Loki - murdered by Thanos fairly quickly.
It was a death that many Marvel fans had predicted, and one that set the pace for Thanos’s murderous streak going forward.
But was it permanent? Possibly not.

Back in November last year, Chris Hemsworth and Robert Downey Jr were seen in costume, apparently on set for Avengers 4, which still doesn’t have its official title.
What’s interesting about the snaps is that an alleged body double for Hiddleston is also in attendance - with reports such as Just Jared claiming that Loki was involved in this scene.
Loki is seen in chains in the pictures, his mouth blocked in much the same way that Thor’s was at the start of Infinity War.
So does that mean Loki will be returning after all? Or were those photos for something else altogether, and the body double was not standing in for Loki?
Another thing to note about these particular pictures is that Thor has long hair again - much like he did before it was cut shorter in Thor: Ragnarok.
So it’s feasible that, unless Avengers 4 demonstrates a flash-forward to when the God of Thunder’s hair has grown, there is a flashback scene in the works, which would help to explain Loki’s reappearance.
Interestingly, it’s the other characters’ deaths - the ones who turned to dust at the end of the movie - that have been subject to the most fan theories about reversals and revivals.

But in an interview with Buzzfeed, the writers implied that the demises are in fact permanent.
“[Avengers 4] doesn’t do what you think it does,” said Christopher Markus. “It is a different movie than you think it is.
“Also… [the deaths are] real. I just want to tell you it’s real, and the sooner you accept that, the sooner you will be able to move on to the next stage of grief.”
Avengers: Infinity War is out now.
