A 19-year-old woman and her male friend were today apprehended at a Delhi Metro station for allegedly carrying two live bullets, officials said.
Simran, hailing from a locality in north east Delhi, was found carrying the rounds by the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel at the Kohat Enclave station when her bag was being scanned at around 4 pm today, the officials said.
The woman could not furnish any license or document for carrying the bullet rounds and told the security personnel that they belonged to a male friend.
The man was called to the station and as he could not give a valid reason for keeping the ammunition, both of them were handed over to the Delhi Police by the CISF team for further investigation, they said.
