Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis Friday laid the foundation stone for a sub-centre of the Institute of Chemical Technology in Jalna district in Marathwada as part of the government’s move to develop the backward region of Marathwada. Fadnavis said, “We have decided to develop an industrial corridor through Shendre-Bidkin in the region. Various projects undertaken to bring industries and employment would alter the region.” He said, “Aurangabad and Jalna have emerged as the industrial magnet of Maharashtra.”
Outlining the roadmap along with detailed projects and investments for the region, he indicated that the Nagpur-Mumbai Samruddhi Corridor would further work to the region’s advantage.
