EAMCET engineering exam begins

Technical glitch delays exam at Mallapur centre; no other problem reported

The engineering exam of EAMCET started on Friday with power failure disrupting the smooth conduct at some places.

At one centre in Mallapur, the exam started an hour late due to technical problems, but students did not face much problem as the back-up was kept ready. Overall, there were no reports of problems in the questions or the facilities. The test was conducted at 74 centres across Telangana and nine centres in Andhra Pradesh.

In the morning session (10 a.m. to 1 p.m.), a total of 23,866 of the 25, 229 registered candidates appeared for the exam. In AP, 3,473 of the 4,285 registered examinees took the test. The afternoon session (3 p.m. to 6 p.m.) saw 23,815 of 25,223 registered candidates in Telangana and 3,481 of 4,328 registered candidates in AP appeared for the exam.
