40 MoUs signed during Defence Expo

Defence Expo 2018, the largest congregation of defence manufacturers in the country, witnessed signing of 40 memorandums of understanding (MoUs), according to a report.

Sixteen MoUs were signed by defence public sector undertakings while seven business-to-business were inked between and

"DefExpo provided great opportunity for bilateral meetings with international and national delegations participating in the event," the report said.

Over 50 such bilateral meetings were held at various levels including by Nirmala Sitharaman, her deputy in the ministry Subhash Bhamre, and other senior officials of the ministry

Bilateral meeting with countries such as the US, UAE, Israel, UK, Russia, France, Philippines, Finland, Czech Republic, were also held.

The tenth edition of the Defence Expo was held from April 11 to April 14 at Thiruvidanthai in south Chennai.
