Prime Minister's National Relief Fund(PMNRF) and National Defence Fund(NDF)

All donations towards the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund(PMNRF) and the National Defence Fund(NDF) are notified for 100% deduction from taxable income under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act,1961

In Assam, 714 gram panchyats have been declared free from open defecation under Swacch Bharat Mission. Talking to AIR, Chief Engineer of PHE Saumya Baruah said overall 9 districts are declared Open Defecation Free, ODF as of now. He said that the challenge was to make tea gardens and Char areas to make ODF.


But Assam government has so far made 56 tea gardens ODF. He further said that the state government has recently initiated Mission Sambhav under which target was taken to construct 1 lakh household toilets in single day. However, with the active participation of people, 1 lakh 20 thousand toilets have been constructed in single day under Mission Sambhav. He said that 3 firms have been assigned to evaluate the quality of household toilets .
