Edible oils ease on lower demand

Groundnut and refined palmolein eased further at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today following lower demand from stockists and retailers amid ample supply from producing regions.

Elsewhere, castor seeds bold and commercial also dropped owing to reduced demand from soaps and shippers industries.

While, linseeds held stable in the absence of any worthwhile buying activity.

In the edibles segment, declined by Rs 10 per 10 kg to Rs 840 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 850 and refined palmolein softened by Rs 2 per 10 kg to Rs 712 as against Rs 714.

Moving to non-edibles section, castor seeds bold fell by Rs 55 per 100 kg to Rs 4,000 from Rs 4,055 yesterday and commercial slid by Rs 11 per 10 kg to Rs 830 as against Rs 841 previously.

closed unchanged at Rs 780 per 10 kg.
