• Francisco Mejia doubled and hit a two-run home run in the third, part of a 3-for-3, four-RBI night, as Triple-A Columbus (14-12) dispatched visiting Charlotte, 7-5. Adam Rosales scored three runs and was 2-for-3 for the Clippers.

• Daniel Sellers went 3-for-4 with a double, home run and five RBI, and Double-A Akron (16-11) unleashed a 15-hit assault, scored eight runs in the first and walloped host Bowie, 18-2. Connor Marabell was 2-for-5 with two runs, a walk and three RBI for the RubberDucks, and Sicnarf Loopstok homered, walked three times and scored four runs.

• Mayfield graduate Mitch Longo went 3-for-3 with two runs and a walk as Single-A Lynchburg (13-14) topped visiting Myrtle Beach, 7-3. Jose Medina had a pair of RBI for the Hillcats, and Kieran Lovegrove (2-0) got the win with 2 1/3 scoreless innings in relief.

• Jorma Rodriguez and Jose Vicente each had three hits, but Single-A Lake County (12-14) struck out 11 times and were a woeful 4-for-16 with runners in scoring position in a 5-3 setback to visiting Beloit. Nick Gallagher struck out six in three innings of relief, yielding one run on two hits.
