A new phone scam is occurring in Rainsville, according to Police Chief Kevin Smith.
Smith said on Thursday he had received complaints that a new phone scam was occurring in the Rainsville area. He said the victims had received phone calls from a person claiming to be with the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.
