Tata Motors, Symbiosis to launch joint mgmnt prog

Tata Motors kick-starts its long-term partnership with Symbiosis International (Deemed University), with the launch of the two-year Management Programme (EPGDBM).

The 1st batch of Managers from various functions will undergo comprehensive general management program covering operations, finance, people management, supply chain, marketing etc.

The focus is to sharpen Managerial skills at multiple levels in the organization. The partnership with Symbiosis is helping provide avenues for collaborative research, content development and knowledge exchange between industry and academia.

 Aligned with company’s strategic objective, the program aims at developing talent and nurturing Managerial Skills of budding Engineers and other professionals at Tata Motors. The EPGDBM program comprises of 4 semesters over 24 months where the program pedagogy involves concepts learnt in the classroom and applied on a real-time project in diverse functional areas across Tata Motors. Apart from honing their capabilities, this program will also go a long way in addressing the aspirations of these engineers to complete Management education from a top ranked institution.

Launching the first batch of EPGDBM as part of the long-term partnership with Symbiosis International (Deemed University) at Jamshedpur, Gajendra Chandel, chief human resources officer, Tata Motors, said’ “Today, business landscape has become very dynamic and there is increasing influence of disruptive technologies and social media shaping our lives.
