One killed, 3 injured in road accidents in Bokaro

One minor died while three persons including a woman were injured in road accidents in Bokaro district on Wednesday night.

An eight-year old child died when a speeding Hyva crushed the child to death at Nutandih More under Barmasia OP of Chandankiyari block.

Irked villagers blocked the road on the spot of the accident and caught the driver and co-pilot of the Hyva and thrashed them badly. Later both were handed over to the police.

Police seized the Hyva and a case has been lodged at the local police station.

While in another incident Shanti Devi (34), Sanjay Mahato (35) and Ravi Kumar (17) residents of Mayapur and Madhukarpur respectively under Paterwar police station got multiple injuries when an unidentified vehicle hit their motorbike at NH 23 and escaped.

With the help of locals they were immediately rushed to the local hospital where doctors referred them to RIMS at Ranchi for better treatment, police said.
