Ajith to help Madras Institute of Technology build advanced Unmanned Aerial Vehicles

Actor Ajith, popularly known as Thala by his fans, is gearing up to commence work on his next project, Viswasam, which marks his fourth time collaboration with director Siva. Despite his busy acting schedule, Ajith will devote himself to launching Unmanned Aerial Vehicles. According to a report in The Hindu, Ajith has been appointed as Helicopter Test Pilot and UAV System Adviser of Madras Institute of Technology (MIT).

Ajith will help MIT build an advanced UAV for Medical Express-2018 UAV Challenge, a prestigious competition whose final round is scheduled to be held in Queensland, Australia in September. As a school student, Ajith had developed interest in aero-modelling. Over the years, he nurtured his passion in building remote-controlled vehicles. Apparently, he volunteered to be part of the UAV challenge. The Hindu further added that Ajith, who receives in crores for his film commitments, will receive a meagre sum of Rs 1000 per visit which he has decided to offer to MIT’s poorer students.

Meanwhile, Viswasam is believed to go on the floors from this weekend. The project also stars Nayantara as the leading lady. It is believed that Ajith will dye his hair black and sport a new look for the film and his new look has already been leaked online. D Imman has been roped in to compose music. Talking to Times of India, he recently revealed: “I never had an urge to work for any particular star’s film, but the kind of great person Ajith is, it will be a delightful experience.” He has already composed two songs for the film.
